MKCCamps Week 7 Schedule: “Sunny Olympics” August 7th - August 11th, 2017

Welcome Campers!

You have a child(ren) enrolled for Millennium Kids Creative Camps Week 7: “Sunny Olympics” August 7th - August 11th, 2017.  Attached to this email is the basic schedule for the upcoming week.  

Field Trips:

Tuesday, August 8th @ Seahurst Beach.  Please bring campers before 9:30AM and pick-up after 2:30PM.  

Thursday, August 10th @ Interbay Mini Golf Course.   Please bring campers before 9:30AM and pick-up after 2:30PM.

Campers are allowed to be dropped off and picked up at any time during the day except Tuesday, August 8th & Thursday, August 10th.

First time Campers this year will receive their t-shirts on Tuesday.  For campers who attended a previous week,  please remember to pack your MKCCamps t-shirts Tuesday and Thursday.

Important Notes:

“Sunny Olympics” is an active week focusing on movement.  Please bring appropriate running shoes and athletic wear.  Campers are welcome to bring their own sports equipment to use if they prefer.   

Mandatory: Campers must bring a packed lunch, water bottle, and sunscreen in a backpack every day they attend camp.  

All personal items must be labeled with the camper’s name.

In the attached camp schedule, the MKCCamps provided snacks are listed.  Campers should pack extra food if they want to eat their own snack instead.

We will have books in our library section, but please bring a book from home to read during reading time throughout the week.

If there are any specific literacy or math concepts your camper needs tutoring or skills strengthening please let us know!  We can focus on those topics with your camper during the scheduled block times.

Tuesday, August 1 @ Tacoma’s Museum of Glass.  Please bring campers before 12:00PM and pick-up after 4:00PM.  

Thursday, August 3rd @ Sculpture Park.   Please bring campers before 12:00PM and pick-up after 4:00PM.

Monday, July 3rd @ Flying Heritage and Combat Armor Museum (FHCAM).  Please bring campers before 9:30AM and pick-up after 2:30PM.

MKCCAMPS RETURNS 2017!

MKCCAMPS RETURNS for 2017!

We are excited to announce that Millennium Kids Creative Camps LLC is returning to St. Francis for summer 2017!

The confirmed dates are 7 weeks: June 26-30, July 3 & 5-7, July 10-14, July 17-21, July 24-28, July 31-Aug 4, and Aug 7-11th.

There may also be an additional two weeks: June 19-23 & Aug 14-18th however, these are not yet confirmed.

Camp registration is open for enrollment, however the camp themes will be officially posted in March 2017!

You have a child enrolled in the Millennium Kids Creative Camps Week 5: “Medieval Renaissance” during July 18th-22nd, 2016.  Attached to this email is the basic schedule for the upcoming week.  

Field Trips:

Tuesday 7/19 @ Angle Lake Water Park 9:30AM - 3:30PM

Wednesday, 7/20 @ MOHAI 9:30AM – 3:30PM

Thursday, 7/21 @ Olympic Scupture Park 10:00AM – 3:30PM

Campers are allowed to be dropped off and picked up at any time during camp operating hours (7AM-6PM) except on Tuesday and Thursday during field trip hours.

Campers will receive their t-shirts on Tuesday and must wear it Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday during field trip hours.

Important Notes:

“Medieval Renaissance” is an active week involving parks, water play, and bicycles.  Please bring appropriate athletic wear, a bicycle, scooter, roller blades, skate board, toys to play outside during water play (squirt guns etc.), and spare clothes to change into if your camper gets wet.

Campers are welcome and encouraged to bring their own sports equipment and toys to use if they prefer.  A camper must bring a helmet in order to use any bike, scooter, skate, or similar item they bring on wheels.   

Mandatory: Campers must bring a packed lunch, water bottle, and sunscreen in a backpack every day they attend camp.  

All personal items must be labeled with the camper’s name.
